13 Jun SmartWork reaches an international audience at Piaget Institute
With 350 participants and a panel of speakers and moderators from Portugal, Spain, Belgium, France, Brazil, Angola and Cape Verde, SmartWork was disseminated to a truly international audience at the recent International Congress, ‘Health and Well-being Intervention’, held at the University Campus of Viseu of the Piaget Institute, Portugal, 31 May to 1 June 2019.
The Congress welcomed researchers and professionals from different areas of practice and training to focus on issues related to the health and well-being of the population.
Carina Dantas, from SmartWork partner, Cáritas de Coimbra, presented in Session 3 on 1st June on ‘Health and Well-being of an increasingly ageing society’.
Carina’s presentation focused on ‘Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments: policy and implementation’, and included the SmartWork project as an example of innovation to design smart digital solutions to support older workers to maintain an active professional life, increasing their work ability sustainability, despite the ageing process and potential functional limitations, health conditions or care needs.
