Orestis
Received his Diploma and MSc on Computer Science and Technology from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department in University of Patras. As a Senior Architect has been involved in the analysis and development of several large-scale distributed systems. His expertise lies on Java ecosystem with more than 10 years of experience in designing and supervising development teams for implementing highly distributed software platforms. Moreover, during the last 5 years, Orestis has architected several software applications based on Docker and Micro-services architecture approach. Besides the technical background, Orestis has strong organisational skills, an analytical way of thinking and managerial skills. His role in the SmartWork Project will primarily be management and coordination of the overall Spark Works team.
Dimitrios
Amaxilatis
Received his Diploma (2011), MSc (2014) and Ph.D. (2018) in Computer Science and Technology from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department of the University of Patras. Dimitrios has a strong back and front end development skills. Before joining SparkWorks he worked for 7 years as a researcher participating in European Research Projects including WISEBED, SPITFIRE, Organicity, and GAIA and co-authored over 40 scientific publications in areas related to Wireless Sensor Networks, the Internet of Things, Smart Cities. He was also involved in the foundation of two technological start-ups, Codebender, Sensorflare and the Patras Hackerspace (2011-2018).
Nikos
Tsironis
Received his Diploma from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department in University of Patras. He is a skilled Agile software developer with a strong work history in the eLearning industry. He has more than six years of experience in designing and implementing large, complex-design online web applications for corporate clients, using Java enterprise technologies and SOA. He has developed fully functional responsive project concepts, based on business requirements using Spring, Docker, MySQL, Thymeleaf, CSS, jQuery and more. He is also experienced on writing technical documents using tools like (Office Word, LaTex, Docbook).
