SmartWork is excited to be heading to the AAL Forum on the 23-25 September 2019 in Aarhus, Denmark. The overall topic for this year is “Smarter practical implementation of digital technology to enhance active and healthy living”, with a number of thematic areas directly relevant to SmartWork.

AAL Forum and the Danish city of Aarhus will also host the 2019 EIP on AHA Conference of Partners as part of their joint mission to support ageing and care in digital transformation. The two organisations are teaming up to bring together all the doers and shapers on active and healthy ageing from Europe and beyond.

SmartWork partners are looking forward to disseminating information about the project’s mission and work so far to the AAL and AHA communities, and to exchanging experiences and ideas on using digital technology to support and retain the silver workforce (Theme 5 in the Forum Programme).

Come and meet some of the SmartWork team at a booth in the Exhibition area which will open Tuesday 24th from 9.00 to 18.00 and Wednesday 25th from 9.00 to 18.00.

The Active and Assisted Living (AAL) Programme promotes innovative technological product ideas and services for active and healthy ageing, supporting them until they launch on the market. These innovations are presented at the annual AAL Forum, among the largest European events of its kind. The forum provides an excellent opportunity to network within the AAL community and to discuss issues around AAL within workshops, keynote presentations and a large exhibition area.

The AAL Forum 2019 will bring together some 1000 national and international congress participants, who will be able to find out the latest AAL products and services from exhibitors, workshops and various keynote speakers.

As part of their joint mission to support ageing and care in digital transformation, the AAL Programme and its annual Forum are teaming up with the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) to hold the 2019 Conference of Partners.

EIP on AHA is an initiative launched by the European Commission to foster innovation and digital transformation in the field of active and healthy ageing. The concept of a European Innovation Partnership (an EIP) is of a partnership that can help strengthen EU research and innovation. A partnership brings together all the relevant actors at EU, national and regional levels across different policy areas to handle a specific societal challenge and involve all the innovation chain levels. The EIP on Active and Healthy Ageing was the first EIP created in 2011. It focuses on the active and healthy ageing of the people of Europe.
